This is my FREE Intermediate (A2 CEFR) curriculum pacing guide or scope and sequence. This follows a general guideline on the order and progression of the pre-intermediate level English language concepts for English language learners of all ages.
A bit about me: I have taught English as a language for over 14 years, using curriculums that align with both CEFR and ELPS (Texas). I am not familar with WIDA.
I have seen books and curriculum that teach these concepts in various ways. Some teachers prefer to teach the simple future after modals like can & could. All of that is okay, and I have notes and ideas on why you may want to teach one skill before or after the others. Sometimes, the order is not important. Sometimes, it is.
