Day 4
– Animated notes on compound sentences, comma usage
– Choosing correct conjunction worksheet
– Creating compound sentences
Day 5
– Compound sentence maker, add the conjunction, manipulative and pair work
– Picture prompts for writing compound sentences
Day 6 (optional)
– Notes on compound sentences and semi-colons
– Practice worksheet
Day 7 (optional)
– State Assessment (STAAR) review where knowledge of commas and semicolons help students find the right answer.
