High School ESL & SPED: WH-Questions Reading Skills Practice & Activities

Start here with newcomer or SPED reading comprehension! Beginner students need to know ‘wh’ question words before any other reading skill. This 3 week nonfiction unit is intentionally paced and scaffolded for beginner students, using engaging nonfiction texts about giant pandas, great white sharks, and jaguars as students practice identifying and answering who, what, where, when, why, and how.
